Gaza backgrounder: Humanitarian aid, imports and conditions

IDF forces unloaded the humanitarian cargo from the Gaza flotilla on Tuesday and transfered the aid into the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing. An average of 10,000 tons of aid are imported into the Gaza Strip weekly in coordination with international organizations through the land crossings from Israel.

13,000 tons of aid sent to Gaza

A total of 550 trucks containing 13,144 tons of humanitarian aid were transferred into the Gaza Strip from Israel via the various crossings over the past week, according to the Coordinator for Government Activities in the Territories. Nine truckloads of carnations were exported from Gaza to Europe.
